Miller, Miller & Canby is pleased to welcome attorney Alexandra L. Mussler to the firm’s Litigation group. Ms. Mussler focuses her practice in Business and Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation, Eminent Domain and Condemnation, Real Estate Litigation, and Personal Injury and Insurance Litigation.
Alexandra (Alley) Mussler began her legal career as the Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable James A. Bonifant, Associate Judge in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County. She then continued as his clerk following his selection as the Administrative Judge for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. She brings with her a unique breadth of experience from her time in the Circuit Court, where she drafted numerous judicial opinions and court orders. As a judge’s clerk, she developed an analytical approach to the law and a passion for litigation, working on complex civil law matters involving a broad spectrum of issues such as mechanic’s liens, shareholder disputes, derivative suits, fiduciary duties, and breaches of contract. Prior to her time at the Montgomery County Circuit Court, she worked as a legal intern, legal assistant and research assistant for multiple law firms in Maryland and in Florida.
Ms. Mussler is admitted to practice in the state of Maryland. She obtained her undergraduate degree in economics with a minor in philosophy from Flagler College, and received her Juris Doctor degree from The American University, Washington College of Law, where she was awarded a Dean’s Merit Scholarship for all three years. She was a member of the Business Law Society and was a certified volunteer with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. As a student attorney in the school’s exclusive Federal Income Tax Clinic, she successfully represented clients before the U.S. Tax Court who were being audited by the Internal Revenue Service.
