Employment Law Attorney Scott Mirsky Presents on Non-Compete Agreements at ALC 2024 Annual Summit

On September 13, MM&C employment law attorney Scott Mirsky presented on non-compete agreements at the Association of Language Companies 22nd Annual Summit in Montreal, Canada. This conference convenes the language industry’s leading companies and partners to share knowledge, network, and advance the industry. Mirsky’s presentation covered the history and structure of non-competes, important distinctions between non-compete and non-solicit agreements, analysis of the current landscape, and alternative strategies for protecting confidential information and client relationships, Mirsky also shared relevant information regarding the status of Federal Trade Commission’s effort to ban non-compete agreements. The topics discussed have broad applications relevant to any industry and to a wide range of employers that rely on independent contractors to meet workforce and productivity needs.
