Miller, Miller & Canby’s Diane Feuerherd has been appointed to the Appellate Judicial Nominating Commission for the state of Maryland. Governor Moore’s appointees include 17 attorneys, with Renee M. Hutchins, dean of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, serving as Chair.
Created by Executive Order, the Appellate Courts Judicial Nominating Commission is responsible for receiving and evaluating applications for vacancies on Maryland’s Supreme Court and Appellate Court, and recommending the most highly qualified candidates to the Governor.
“These appointments represent our administration’s commitment to both enhancing representation in the justice system in our state and best serving the people of Maryland,” said Governor Moore, in his official press release.
Diane Feuerherd chairs Miller, Miller & Canby’s litigation practice. She is an appellate and trial attorney, focusing on business, estate, real estate and eminent domain litigation in the Maryland state and federal courts. Diane is known in Maryland for her appellate work; outside the courtroom she has remained dedicated to serving and improving the legal profession at the local, state and national level.
