Patuxent Beach Road (MD 4), Expanding Intersection with Three Notch Road (MD 235), and Replacing Gov. Thomas Johnson Bridge

2020.04.19 Plans are to widen Patuxent Beach Rd from the Three Notch Rd intersection to the Solomon’s Island Rd (MD 2) intersection in Calvert County.  The project includes expanding the Three Notch Rd/Patuxent Beach Rd intersection to add an interchange with an overpass over Patuxent Beach Rd.  Enclosed is an exhibit indicating the potential extent of the impact to your property based upon the SHA’s latest project plan. SHA recently completed the planning phase of this project, and the project is expected to be funded for 30% design very soon.  Meanwhile, owners may have already received notice letters informing you that surveyors and engineers will require access to your property.  The purpose of these efforts will be to gather information such as soil tests, location of underground utilities, property boundaries and topography – details required to support the design process.
