Patrick C. McKeever

Mr. McKeever joined Miller, Miller & Canby in 1993. In nearly fifty years of practice in Montgomery County and the Metropolitan Area of Washington, D.C., his practice has spanned a wide range of services. Most of those efforts, however, whether in trial work, appellate argument, transactional engagements or document drafting, have centered on real estate and its development and financing. Mr. McKeever is often called upon, both by clients and other lawyers, to assist in or devise innovative solutions, including public-private agreements to facilitate land development, condominium, cooperative and homeowner association concepts and applications. His experience and practice continues to encompass commercial and residential real estate transactions, particularly in the crafting of contracts, commercial condominium documentation, loan closings and defense of titles, and trial and appellate work in these areas. During the last decade, a significant part of his practice has been devoted to the mediation and arbitration of cases, both by court order and direct private engagement. For over forty years, he has had extensive experience in condominium development, encompassing new construction and condominium conversion, both residential and office or commercial.

Prior to joining Miller, Miller & Canby, Mr. McKeever briefly served in the Appellate Section of the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice. A lifelong resident of Maryland, Mr. McKeever was employed by the firm of Shearin & Shadoan in Rockville, Maryland. Over a number of years, this firm evolved into McKeever, Fitzpatrick & Canada, which merged into Miles & Stockbridge on January 1, 1982.
