Glenn M. Anderson

Mr. Anderson leads the Business & Tax practice and Estates & Trusts practice at Miller, Miller & Canby.  He previously served as the Chief Financial Shareholder and Managing Shareholder for the firm.


Mr. Anderson's business law practice includes serving as outside general counsel for several business enterprises, handling purchases and sales of businesses, forming for profit and not-for-profit business entities, business succession planning, and assisting clients in a variety of other business matters.


As a CPA and practicing attorney, as well as an MBA recipient, Mr. Anderson has developed a recognized focus in taxation law. He handles a wide variety of taxation law matters involving tax planning, tax audits, administrative appeals, tax litigation, and tax-exempt entities. Due to his education, training, and experience, Mr. Anderson is a frequent lecturer in county, state, and national continuing education programs on business and tax issues for attorneys and accountants. He has also written numerous articles for a variety of legal and accounting publications.


Drawing upon his business and tax background, Mr. Anderson's estate planning practice includes serving as trustee for several trusts, estate planning to minimize applicable taxes, asset protection planning, drafting wills, trusts and related documents, and handling estate administration in Maryland and in Florida.


Before rejoining the firm in 2005, he served for 10 years as General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer for The Fibred Group, a family of manufacturing companies based in Cumberland, Maryland. From 1989 through 1995, he worked in the business and tax practice group of Miller, Miller & Canby. Mr. Anderson held several accounting positions with local businesses prior to joining the firm in 1989.
